Dibang Valley is a  15th district of Arunachal Pradesh named after Dibang river it is a immense treasure house of natural beauty, traditional arts, crafts, tribal culture  and unique wildlife. The district has picturesque hills and mighty rivers like Iphi, Dibang, Eze, Diphu, Sisiri etc. Dibang is a least populated district in India and has an area of 9,129 sq km. As per 2011 census total population in the district is 54080 persons out of whom 28,053 are males and 26,027 are females. Dibang district has a sub-tropical climate. The district experiences heavy rainfall in the month of March to September.

Places to visit in Dibang Valley

1.Hunli

Hunli is a beautiful valley nestled at an altitude of 5000 feet. It is a sub-divisional headquarter of Hunli-Desali Tehsil of the Lower Dibang Valley district in the north-eastern state of Arunachal. Hunli is almost 90 km away from the small town Roing, which is at an altitude of 8800 feet. It is a place especially for nature lovers and trekkers. The main attraction of the place is a cave temple at Kupunli.

2.Roing

Roing, district headquarter of Lower Dibang Valley district in the Arunachal Pradesh State. The snow peaked mountains, deep gorges, numerous waterfalls, turbulent rivers cascading down the hills, archaeological sites, placid lakes, peace and fun loving hospitable people and above all the heavenly climate make this place one of the most attractive destinations for tourists.

3.Mehao Lake

Mehao is one of the beautiful lake located within the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary and it is at a height of 3000 feet. This place is one of the less explored destination in Arunachal Pradesh. Mehao is the natural lake amidst lush green forest is located in the heart if Mehao. The lake attracts a lots of seasonal birds and the water of the Mehao lake is crystal clear and the huge number of wild ducks are attracted towards the lake especially during winter season.

4.Mipi Pene

Mipi Pene centre is located at Lower Dibang Valley in Roing at Ezenggo in the northern state of Arunachal Pradesh. The Mipi Pene centre was established in the year 2017 with the idea of preserving and promoting Igu system of the Idu Mishmi Community.

5.Nijomaghat

Nijomaghat is a picnic spot located about 15 km from Roing. Nijomaghat was build by the British in 19th century and is located at a distance of around 15 km from Roing.

6.Jia village

Located in Palampur tehsil of Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh Jia is a small village surrounded by the evergreen forests. It is situated at a distance of 17 km from district headquarter Palampur. According to the census 2011 information the location code of Jia village is 011480. Literacy rate of jia village is 66.04 percent out of which 71.29 percent males and 61.26 percent females are literate. There are about 52 houses in Jia village and the Pincode of jia village is 176099.

Anini is the headquarters of Dibang valley district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh in northeast-India. Anini is a small underdeveloped town, because of its remoteness.
