• INTRODUCTION
The French Laundry is one of the renowned restaurants located at 6640 Washington ,Yountville, California 94599 in napa valley. Thomas keller was the chef and the owner of The French Laundry.
• History of The French laundry
Previously in the1900s the building of the French Laundry was a salon. At the time of 1920s John Lande was the owner of the building. Who use to do French Steam laundry in it .And it is the origin of the name of the restaurant.
In 1978,Don and his wife Sally Schmitt renovated the building into the French Laundry a restaurant because most of the people still reffereded as such. They both ran the restaurant for seventeen years. And then sell it to Keller.
In 1999, The French Laundry cookbook was published by Thomas keller. Which was considered as his conclusive book.
• Dresscode of The French Laundry
As we all know The French Laundry have a proper dress code that the people have to follow to visit The French Laundry. Women have to wear dresses, classy tops and semi formals. Wearing denim and T-shirt and sneakers are not allowed, and man has to wear jackets and tie is optional.
